Voice for justice
The Voice of Doctors would collect data about the existing investigation process and system of investigation undergone by the doctors. List of objectives for a doctor’s charter is identified and related questions on the doctor’s investigations are raised to seek doctor’s opinion. Giving the doctors a voice is essential and the doctors need to be heard. The data gathered by the voice of doctors would be analysed and published. The doctor's identity will be anonymised in the published results. This is likely to assist in reforming the regulatory system.

A consultant anaesthetist found himself accused of sexual misconduct by a 15 year-old girl. During sedation for a dental procedure, this patient had received anaesthetic drugs known to have hallucinogenic side-effects. The police, the NHS Trust, social services and the General Medical Council (GMC) together meanwhile treated him as “guilty until proven innocent”. They contributed to so much stress that he ended up taking his own life. This case demonstrates the unreasonable and insensitive approach of these organisations towards a doctor, with apparently had little regard for how he felt while his reputation disintegrated before his eyes. This calls for a united response from the profession to bring about changes to the system so that no doctor is exposed to the intolerable stress that this innocent doctor endured.
We are fighting this case of terrible injustice through the Protecting medics from tragedies (Community Trust) and working on reforms to save doctor's lives and livelihood.
